Executive Director

Chris joined FACS in December of 2023 as the executive director. In his prior role, Chris advocated for education equity and racial justice for American Indians, Alaska Natives and Native Hawaiians. His career in DC includes positions in the U.S. Congress, nonprofits, and industry. Chris is passionate about social justice and inclusiveness and volunteers in his local community on issues focusing on the needs of his unhoused neighbors and those facing food insecurity. He has a bachelor’s in economics from Mary Washington College (now the University of Mary Washington) and has completed graduate coursework at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. Chris is a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Reston and led their LGBTQ+ task force from 2020 – 2022.
