Summer of Action Bootcamp: Build your power!

It’s time to build our power! Join the Summer of Action Advocacy Bootcamp, where you’ll learn techniques and success-driven approaches for messaging, organizing and impacting solutions in your community. 

With the passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (H.R.3684), opportunities abound for community advancements in energy efficiency, new industries and resiliency. This training will help you become an effective advocate and influencer as you seek to lend your support to local climate solutions.

Session 1 – Effective Grassroots Campaigning – Register HERE

Monday, July 25, 2022 – 4pm-6pm

Learn how to build an effective grassroots campaign based on strategies and actions that make a difference. We’ll cover topics like setting clear, inspirational goals, effectively influencing decision makers, and recruiting others to join you.

Session 2 – Power Communicating – Register HERE

Monday, August 15, 2022 – 4pm-6pm

In this training, we’ll do a deeper dive into two powerful climate actions: 1) writing opinion pieces and getting them published; 2) building access with influencers and decision makers through social media and power-mapping. 

Session 3 – En-ROADS Climate Solutions Simulator – Register HERE

Monday, September 12, 2022 – 4pm-6pm

Former Navy officer and MIT alum Nate Mills will teach us how to use the powerful ENROADS Climate Solutions Simulator, developed by MIT and Climate Interactive. We’ll also discuss the current status of federal policies and opportunities for local climate solutions, such as clean energy and transportation investments, and how we can support even more climate action.
