On December 6, over 40 passionate advocates gathered at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington to hear directly from statewide environmental experts about Virginia’s most pressing issues and anticipated legislation in the upcoming 2026 General Assembly.
Hosted in partnership with the Virginia Conservation Network, FACS’ General Assembly Preview Regional Watch Party was the largest of nine watch parties held across the state.
Community advocates took part in a substantive discussion on renewable energy, transportation electrification, including EV infrastructure, and the growing impacts of data centers across the Commonwealth. They learned how these priority issues will shape FACS’ advocacy work in the year ahead and concrete ways they can take action.
