FACS proudly leads the Community-wide Energy and Climate Action Plan (CECAP) Faith Sector Pilot, a groundbreaking initiative by Fairfax County. Created to accelerate climate action within faith communities, the program focuses on increased energy efficiency, electrification, renewable energy use, and natural resource enhancements on properties owned by places of worship.
At the forefront of this transformative endeavor, FACS has crafted five strategic campaigns to realize our shared objectives: Solar Sanctuaries, Tree of Life, Creation Care Kitchen, and Clean Cars. These campaigns serve as the pillars guiding our mission to identify and implement priority projects that will make a tangible impact on the environment.
Our work doesn’t end there. FACS is collaborating with the County to develop a comprehensive guide that promotes widespread adoption of sustainable practices. Through strategic dissemination of our guidance, we’ll reach a broad audience. We’re also holding discussions with community non-profits to identify service gaps, allowing us to tailor our climate-action initiatives.
Together, with the support of Fairfax County and the unwavering dedication of our community partners, FACS is leading the charge toward a future where faith-based communities play a pivotal role in championing environmental stewardship. Join us on this extraordinary journey as we strive to create a world where sustainability is not just a goal but a way of life. Email email@example.com for more information.
