Faith Alliance for Climate Solutions

October Faith in Action

By: Kris Rosenthal

What emotional and spiritual energy fuels you, especially in this time of unfolding disasters and great uncertainty? What values and experiences could lead us to loving the earth and each other, rather than exploiting and destroying it, and our continued health?

If you would like to explore this, or share what you know about nourishing our own resilience, I invite you to any or all of the four sessions, online, free, which started September 26th. If you missed that one, please feel free to join us for the rest, all at 4 p.m. Oct 15, Nov 5 and Dec 3. Contact me for the link to join Nourishing Our Own Resilience,  at Kristin.rosenthal@gmail.com

I was recently challenged to “fall in love” three times a day: paying attention and allowing my heart to be touched by the beauty or tenacity of life around me, daily. What brings you joy, or the cousins of joy? How does your body feel, your mind change, when you cultivate joy?

I will draw on a few resources. One is Active Hope: (revised) How to Face the Mess We’re in with Resilience and Creative Power, by Joanna Macy and Christopher Johnstone. And, Not Too Late: Changing the Climate Story from Despair to Possiblity, by Rebecca Solnit.

The first one will be on Tuesday September 26th, 7:30 pm. To get the link, please contact me at mailto:kristin.rosenthal@gmail.com.
